Solid HOT Pink = Final Color for the Surrounded Caterpillar Quilt
Not only will it be used in the blocks, it will also be used for the backing. The border and binding are still to be determined.
Piecing will begin tomorrow, stay tuned…
This past week I bought a new pattern titled Surrounded by Four Paws Quilting. It is an assembly of rectangles each “surrounded” by a one inch border. I am making the crib size using ½ yards from my stash. I just need one more color. I am thinking a dark pink is in order to match the pink in the caterpillars. What do you think is the missing color?
Two months ago, I impulsively picked up a Jelly Roll with no intentions. It was my first pre-cut fabric purchase. I had many ideas from a coin quilt to a table runner. I finally made up my mind when I saw the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along hosted by Konda’s Moose on the Porch Quilts Blog. For a twist, it is a mystery quilt too! My jelly roll is Moda’s “All about color” Cozy Quilt Design. For the background and sashing, I am using Robert Kaufman’s pure black.
Is it Monday yet? I can’t wait to start the first blocks for this quilt and the pinwheel quilt!
I am starting my blogging journey by joining Anina’s Pinwheel Party. You too can join the party!

This past weekend, my mom and I ventured for the first time to Pennington Quilt Works in Pennington, New Jersey. Here is a sneak peek of my fabrics for this party:
