Blogger’s Quilt Festival: Seascape Quilt

Here is a landscape seascape wall hanging quilt using the techniques from Karen Echmeier’s Accidental Landscapes Book.  Out of all of the quilts that I have made, this is the only quilt that I have kept.  This quilt included new topics for me: quilting without a true pattern, adding a hanging sleeve and label, using lace within a quilt, and raw edge quilting for the trees.  This is my favorite quilt, so far!

  1. Great landscape quilt, especially since it is your first of this type!

  2. I like this………and especially the way the raw edges on the darkest tree makes it look like a cedar !

  4. love your quilt!

you asked about the inks that we used on the Under the Sea Quilt. Check out this website: http://www.jukeboxquilts.com/store/allPurposeInks.html. These are the inks we’ve used, they are great and last a long time!

  5. It looks like Maine! This looks like it would have been really fun to make and it turned out beautifully.

  6. I like pictorial quilts, but have never used lace in a quilt before. How fun!
