18 inches of binding

Over two months ago, I blogged about the Sliced Coin Quilt Along quilt needing the binding.  That weekend, I completed most of the binding — except for about 18 inches.  Since then, this quilt sat folded up on my bookshelf for two months!  I was so close, yet I never finished it!  Today, I spent about 15 minutes finishing it up and now I have a quilt to share with the Sew Modern Monday Link Up and Quilt Story’s Fabric Tuesday.

I am expecting in November!

Over the past few years, I have been collecting fabric for my own baby quilt.  In 2009, I discovered Amy Schimler’s original Animal Party fabric line.  These are my two favorite fabrics:

I now have plenty of coordinating fabric to make the baby quilts.  I will be making a full size bed quilt and a crib quilt.

I already started the crib quilt with the summer panel.  Aren’t the colors awesome for a baby’s room?!

Best of all, Animal Party Too was just released in May!  Perfect timing :)
